Can you believe it? We’re just one week away from Blackpool's biggest night when the famous Illuminations turn on.

Taking place on Friday 4 September, this year’s Switch-On celebration will see pop favourites Five headlining, joined by The Feeling and Lucy Spraggan. We also have BBC Introducing, shining a spotlight on some of the best local talent.

TRAVEL
Switch-On night is one of the busiest evenings of the year in Blackpool, so please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey. You can find a full list of car parks here: www.blackpool.gov.uk/CarParks

ST ANNES - KITE FESTIVAL

The award-winning Kite Festival will return to our neighbouring town, St Annes, next week.

The skies above St Annes seafront will be filled with all different inflatable designs as stunning kites soar over five flying arenas next to the pier.

🪁 Friday 4 September – 12 noon to 10pm, featuring illuminated kite flying
🪁 Saturday 5 September August – 11am to 5pm (Fairground will operate into the evening)
🪁 Sunday 6 September – 11am to 4pm

Don’t forget, just up the coast it’s also the Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On celebration on Friday 4 September. Take full advantage of two brilliant seaside events in one epic weekend!

SWITCH-ON WATCH PARTY - THE BLACKPOOL TOWER

Big news for Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On night! 🌟

Didn't get lucky in the ballot? For the first time ever, The Blackpool Tower is hosting an official Switch-On Watch Party inside the iconic Ballroom on Friday 4 September!

Watch all the action live on the big screen, including performances from Five, The Feeling and Lucy Spraggan, right up to Paddy McGuinness flicking the famous switch!

Space is free but tickets are first-come, first-served. Standing and seated options are available on the night.

UK SUBS FINAL EVER REBELLION APPEARANCE - 2027!
You'd have to be living under a rock not to have heard that the mighty UK SUBS will be calling it a day next year. With their final ever show being in London in September, it means we have one more Rebellion appearance from the band before they retire from live gigs.

Whilst the band will be busy next year on their farewell tour, we know that for many of you, especially those that travel long distances for Rebellion, this could be the very last time you will see the band. It's definitely going to be emotional, but it will also be a celebration.

The word 'legend' is over used sometimes, but in the case of Charlie Harper, it is absolutely perfect. We love Charlie and the Subs, as you lot do too. So this will certainly be a night to remember.
