IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Following the latest Government announcement and in response to the hundreds of messages we are receiving, we can confirm that Blackpool (as a tourist destination) will remain open and the Illuminations will continue to shine - However, if we wish to keep it that way, we all need to make an extra effort to follow the rules/guidelines.

The latest restrictions announced mean that you are still able to travel to a leisure destination for the purposes of a holiday/day trip. This includes areas that are currently under localised restrictions such as the remainder of Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside.

(Please Note: Travel restrictions do apply in a handful of areas across the UK, especially in Wales - be sure to check before travelling).

Some areas, under localised restrictions also recommend using public transport for essential reasons only. However current restrictions do not place a ban on using public transport for other purposes if absolutely required.

From Thursday Bars/Restaurants/Hospitality will close by 10pm each evening.

If visiting Blackpool it is important that you do not do so in groups of more than 6, unless from the same household/bubble. Venues/Attractions will now have a responsibility to refuse entry if this is the case.

Visitors from areas falling under localised restrictions may only be able to visit with members of their own household (please check localised restrictions for your area).

Face coverings are something which cause divided opinion but you MUST wear a face covering when indoors (excluding pubs and restaurants when eating and drinking) and when using public transport unless exempt or under 11. It is now the responsibility of venues to enforce this and you can now be asked to leave.

Social Distancing is also important. We realise it is not always easy if entering a crowded area. It is up to you to move out the way of others to protect yourself and your own family. If you do not think social distancing will be possible in a busy outdoor space please wear a face covering.
Again it is the responsibility of our venues to now enforce these rules.

We welcome all visitors to enjoy Blackpool and our attractions, but please respect the rules and guidelines. After all it is our business's that will be affected by those who refuse to do so. At the same time we must also ask residents to help by maintaining the rules/guidelines.

REMEMBER! Blackpool Illuminations are shining until Jan 3rd which means you have plenty of time to catch the lights. If you wish to avoid busy periods we advise visiting between Monday and Thurs (except Oct Half Term) or putting off your visit until Nov/Dec.
