Chandrabir Oli, an 80-year-old man from Tulsipur in Dang, Nepal, is a living symbol of determination and love. Faced with an unthinkable challenge when five of his six children being born blind and living in a remote mountain village without a proper road,he took it upon himself to carve out a 4-kilometer path through the rugged terrain, entirely by hand.
Starting in 2017, Chandrabir worked every single day from 9 AM to 5 PM using just basic tools, driven by the sole desire to give his children a safer, more accessible life. Despite facing illness, injury, and skepticism from others, he never gave up.
After two years of backbreaking work, he completed the road, which is now called "Chandrabir Marga." His efforts not only transformed his family’s life but also brought connectivity and hope to the entire village. His incredible story is a moving reminder of what one person’s courage and love can achieve in the face of adversity.
