Sad times for Springfield Hotel - Our beloved 'Spire' has succumbed to the storm. It's witheld over 140 years!

I've since googled its' purpose and have found out it's called an 'Angel Spike' to ward off witches.

Good news - Jay managed to remove both cars parked in it's path before it fell.

Springfield Hotel - Blackpool 'Official Page'
We had a nice surprise phone call last night where we were informed by a fellow hotelier that the Springfield was in the local Gazette - we had made it into the top list for 'Best Blackpool Budget Hotels'!!
Not too sure how this happened (maybe a mystery shopper) but nice to see positive comments and show we are getting recognised.

Good morning all!

Well, what a difference a week makes!
After having the weekend from hell last week
1. Guest fighting with our neighbours
2. Guests allowing random people to stay in their rooms
3. And, by far the worst we've ever experienced in the nearly 19 years of being here - being accused of racism due to our body language??? (obviously wanting a full refund for their stay even though they stayed for the 3 night duration of their booking)

This weekend has restored my faith in mankind lol - every single guest has been absolutely lovely (so a big thank you to all of you that stayed with us this weekend).

This just shows what us 'hoteliers' sometimes have to deal with (and we are a Families & couples hotel only).

Onwards & upwards!

The Dolphins are back!!!! A pod were also spotted during lock-down and again last year. May be time for Frank (the dog) to get a walk!!!
