IMPORTANT FIREWORK EVENT UPDATE

Unfortunately, due to forecast weather conditions, the World Fireworks Championship Blackpool on Saturday 10 October has been cancelled.

Following close monitoring throughout the week, the predicted wind speed and direction would make it unsafe for the event to go ahead.

We know this will be disappointing for everyone who was planning to attend, but the safety of our fireworks teams and spectators must come first.

We will review whether there may be an opportunity for the event to take place at a future date and will provide updates if appropriate.

The World Fireworks Championship is back and this year’s line-up is looking seriously impressive! 🌍✨

Three former champions are returning to Blackpool to battle it out across three spectacular nights, with their incredible displays lighting up the sky over the beach in front of The Blackpool Tower. 🎇🌊

🏆 Saturday 12 September – Wales 🏴 — Champions in 2022
🏆 Saturday 26 September – South Africa 🇿🇦 — Champions in 2017
🏆 Saturday 10 October – Germany 🇩🇪 — Champions in 2021

And these aren’t just ordinary fireworks… each display is choreographed to music, making for an incredible show of colour, sound and spectacle over the Blackpool seafront. 🎶🎆
