A little behind the scenes of how we prepare our Afternoon Tea 🤍🍰

From Mum making our homemade scones to me decorating one of our cakes, everything is made right here at The Mayfield with lots of love.

We really believe it’s the little homemade touches that make all the difference, and we love sharing them with our guests.

Whether you’re staying with us or just joining us for Afternoon Tea, we can’t wait to welcome you. And of course, we’re dog friendly too, so your four-legged best friend can come along and enjoy the afternoon with you. 🐾🤍

As a family with a big dog ourselves, we know how difficult it can be to find somewhere to stay when so many places are now restricting dog sizes and only allowing smaller breeds. 🐾

When we go away with Novis, we know first-hand how limiting it can feel, and that’s exactly why at The Mayfield, we welcome dogs of all sizes and breeds.

We’re not just dog tolerant, we’re genuinely dog friendly. ❤️ Every dog who stays with us becomes part of the Mayfield family, whether they’re tiny, enormous, fluffy, wrinkly, young or old!

A lovely afternoon at the Mayfield 🫖🎂🤍

Today we welcomed non-residents for a birthday celebration with our homemade afternoon tea, and of course their pup came along to join in too 🐾

We’re a mother and daughter duo here at The Mayfield, so everything you see is made with lots of love by Mum and me. From preparing our homemade scones and cakes to setting the tables and welcoming our guests, we love being part of your special occasions and making you feel at home.

And because we’re dog friendly, the whole family can enjoy the celebrations together 🐾🤍

From cooking your breakfasts and serving afternoon teas, to Lydia dog sitting and walking your furry friends, everything here is done by just the two of us. We put our hearts into making every stay feel warm, welcoming and personal.

The Mayfield isn’t just a hotel to us — it’s a home away from home, and we love welcoming our guests like family (dogs included 🐾).
