This isn’t an easy post to write. But I feel I must as I’m getting messages regularly asking if we are selling.
Owning & Running Lee & Chris’s Belvedere has been the greatest joy of my working life and a dream come true. For 5 years and 7 months, this place has been my pride, my routine, my comfort, and my home. I’ve poured everything into it, and I’ve loved every minute with the help occasionally of my hubby Chris.
But with the pressure of our other businesses growing, and with me being needed elsewhere more often, we’ve made the difficult decision to put the Belvedere on the market.
Nothing is changing right now.
Bookings are unaffected.
Standards remain high.
And realistically, we’ll still be here for quite some time as B&Bs in Blackpool don’t sell overnight.
If the Belvedere hasn’t sold by the end of the year, it will move to event‑weekend opening only, on a room‑only basis.
Sadly the Renaissance Bar will close permanently at the end of the year. Until then, it will open only when I’m not covering shifts elsewhere. With a staff member recovering from injury, it isn’t viable to bring someone new in for just a few months.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us, stayed with us, drank with us, and believed in what we built. You’ve made this journey unforgettable.
