Spring is well and truly underway, and the lifting of restrictions across the UK. Many of you will know of my move to Bridport and my renovation of a little cottage for holiday rental.

Sadly on Tuesday I said goodbye to my last guests. Covid19 has had a dramatic effect on so many businesses this year and unfortunately like so many in the hospitality sector I'm too nervous of what 2021 might hold to hold my nerve. But these last few weeks have been fun, welcoming lovely guests, many only from 2-3 hours drive away as we all get used to the new reality of staycations. Thank you all for your support during my stewardship of Bank House. The new owners will NOT be doing B&B, merely enjoying the delights of the house, garden and the beautiful, historic village of Milton Abbas.
Next year I'll be sharing my new project with you; self catering accommodation in the exciting new location of Bridport! Meanwhile thanks and keep safe x

I finally had the first swim of the season after going to the beach two weeks ago and then wussing out as the water felt freezing.
We'll,was still pretty chilly at 9.30 this morning at Ringstead Bay but glorious once in and moving.
Since lockdown started cruise liners have been anchored all along this shore, today only 4 of them including the Queen Mary although I've heard of 8 or 9 being there. A rather surreal experience swimming with these enormous beasts in the background

Bank House B&B now open

Bank House, a Grade 2 listed cob and thatch cottage in the historic village of Milton Abbas now providing Bed & Breakfast to visitors to Dorset. Throughout the year two suites are available and during the summer months several weeks are designated for rental of the entire house. So come alone, come with your significant other or with the whole family or group of friends. You can even bring your four legged friend by arrangement.
