Did you see Wout van Aert win the 1st stage of the Tour of Britain on Sunday - he was so happy to come to Bodmin (and actually rode right past the Artist's Lodge).

Someone else who enjoyed it was our last guest...

"we absolutely love this lodge it is just amazing, my mom and dad just keep saying wow! They want to live here permanently 😂
It’s the best place I’ve ever stayed 100% hopefully will be staying again.....It’s truly been amazing I feel at home here I love where it is and this lodge I’m just lost for words it’s beautiful. I have been watering all of the flowers. My dad thinks he can paint I will make you laugh now, he copied one of jane's paintings he is amazed at her talent."

Last night our owners Geoff & Jane decided they wanted a real taste of Cornwall for supper and what better way than with some fresh crab, mayonnaise, lemons and a chilled glass of wine - yeghes da (that's 'cheers' in Cornish) 🥰

September in Cornwall - after the summer crowds have left Cornwall returns to its sleepy, tranquil self - a perfect destination for walkers and cyclists.

One particular route is The Camel Trail - Following a disused railway line once used by the London and South West Railway, the trail follows the Camel Estuary from Padstow to Wadebridge before joining the route through the deep and beautifully wooded Camel Valley to Bodmin. At Bodmin, yet another line, one of the most historic in the country, winds its way inland to the edge of Bodmin Moor where it comes to an end below Blisland, an extraordinarily pretty moorland village with an award winning pub.

Our Artist's Lodge is the perfect place to stay, less than 1/2 mile from the Camel Trail and ideal for exploring all that Cornwall has to offer.

A very happy family have left us this weekend, and another is about to start their wonderful holidays in Cornwall.
