South Penquite Farm Campsite, Cornwall We are a family run organic working farm situated on the edge of Bodmin Moor, Cornwall. We offer large choose your own camping pitches and yurts. Dog friendly.

Campfires allowed. Family friendly. South Penquite is a family organic farm where you can camp during the summer months. We are right in the heart of Cornwall and overlook the rugged, timeless beauty of Bodmin Moor.

1999 — where it all began. 🌙

27 years ago, we first opened up our farm to campers wanting to experience the total solar eclipse from Bodmin Moor. People travelled from miles around to stay with us, some even came as far as New York!

Now, 27 years later, we’re preparing to watch another spectacular eclipse from the very same skies. There’s something pretty special about that. ✨

Tomorrow evening, between 6:15pm and 7:15pm, the moon will cover around 95% of the sun, creating what promises to be a truly spectacular sight.

The skies are set to be clear, and we can’t wait for you all to experience this incredible event under the same skies that inspired the very beginning of our campsite. 🌙

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Please do not look directly at the sun. You must use ISO-certified eclipse glasses to view the eclipse safely.

A busy week here at the farm - 105 hay bales done ✔️

After everything that could have gone wrong, did go wrong 🙃, we are delighted that this week is now behind us and we have our hay baled ready to store for the winter feeds. Thank you to everyone who helped us out along the way!

BARN BITES CAFE IS OPEN! 🎊🍕🥓

It’s officially the summer holidays which means our campsite café is back open 🎉 as usual serving up pizzas, loaded fries, breakfast baps, pastries and a few sweet treats thrown in too!

Open:
Fridays 5:30-7:30pm
Saturdays 8-10am & 5:30-7:30pm
Sundays 8-10am

We hope to see you then! 😋

We have had a lot of questions about dogs recently - yes we do allow dogs! But please note, as we are a busy working farm we cannot allow dogs in the communal areas of the site due to our free range animals and our own hard-working collies who aren’t used to sharing their farm.

Dogs are permitted in the large dog camping field and secure dog exercise paddock where you’ll have your own walking access out of the site and also out onto our farm trail.
