Ionian Villas is a family run business established by Vivienne and David Watrous and their son, Alex. Having seen that more and more people were opting for a more flexible alternative to the traditional package holiday, they have now set up Ionian Villas to provide exactly that. David was managing director of Greek Islands Club for over thirty years and Vivienne has her own connection to the islands through her Paxos home, combined they offer a unique insight into finding the best holiday experience possible. "The simplicity, beauty, friendliness and escapism of the Ionian islands appeal to a certain type of visitor, usually seeking a relaxed escape from a busy lifestyle. Villa Tommasina has been part of our Paxos collection for a while, and this summer saw the completion of its new private pool.

📍 Sleeping 6, this spacious, modern and comfortable villa is well placed for exploring the island, with easy access to Gaios and the east coast beaches.

🚤 Mogonissi Beach, with its two tavernas, is a 15-minute walk away. You can also moor a boat in the bay, making it easy to explore the coastline and reach Antipaxos in around 15 minutes.

With wonderful sea views and beautiful sunrises, Villa Tommasina is a great option for a family holiday on Paxos.

One of our favourites is Villa Bliss in Corfu - sleeping 8 guests.

Take a direct flight from the UK, around 3¼ hours from London followed by a short drive up Corfu’s beautiful north-east coast, and you’ll arrive in the charming village of Kalami and gorgeius Villa Bliss.

With average daytime highs of around 23°C in October, it’s a lovely time of year to enjoy some late-season sunshine, with the added bonus of a heated pool.

It’s official... Greece really does have some of the best beaches in the world! In the 2026 World’s 50 Best Beaches ranking, Fteri Beach in Kefalonia was named the No. 1 beach in Europe and No. 2 beach in the world. 🥇

And it’s not just Kefalonia, Greek beaches regularly feature among the world’s best for their crystal-clear waters, spectacular scenery and beautiful coastlines.

Still dreaming of a Greek island escape this September?

☀️ September is one of our favourite times to be in the Ionian... warm days, beautiful swimming conditions and a more relaxed feel across the islands.
