…and that’s a wrap!

Thank you to everyone who chose to stay at Witham
Cottage in 2025. We made some new friends and welcomed back familiar faces to our peaceful little corner. The extended fair weather showed off the gardens at their best this year, and a huge thank you to Alan for his tireless work to make every visit memorable. It’s now time to close up for the year and we hope to see you in 2026.

Our Story

Witham Cottage is a beautiful, romantic getaway for just two to share. Set in two acres of stunning gardens alongside the peaceful River Witham, the Cottage is lovingly furnished and cared for by hosts Kathy and Alan who live in the Georgian farmhouse attached.

Having previously had a life as a wood store and a pig shed, Witham Cottage is now a stunning home from home to unwind. The gardens extend to include the riverside where there’s no traffic and just the peaceful sounds of the countryside. The riverbank used to support a stretch of the Lincolnshire Loop railway in the 1800s and 1900s but the rails have long gone and the river bank is now a haven for wildlife. It’s the perfect place to start the day on a crisp morning with a coffee or, in summer, with a glass of wine as a stunning sunset gives way to a fantastic display of starts in a sky without the glare of streetlights.
