It's Mark Cribb here. Just wanted to share a bit of news.
In December 2005 I purchased a very run down old bed and breakfast in Boscombe called the Fiveways Hotel. I spent the first few years building a team and transforming it into a cocktail bar, bistro and boutique hotel. The whole 17 years have flown by with various openings and closings and chefs and menus and bar teams and cocktail menus and wonderful humans and awards and tears and smiles and laughter.
But with mixed emotions the time has come to hand over the keys to new owners π’. So I wanted to get in touch personally to thank you for your custom and let you know that Urban Beach will be closing on Sunday 30th October at 6pm.
The new owners, well known locally, will close the venue for a few months to give it some extra love and refurbish, and they have great plans to re-open it as a new iconic exciting venue carrying on the legacy that started all those years ago. Iβll be in touch again soon to share their plans and ideas and encourage you to sign up to hear when Urban Beach will re-open and what the new name will be.
For now, everyone of us at Urban Beach would love you to pop in over the next couple of weeks and say hello and goodbye. Iβll be in and out regularly throughout October, and the manager Mark and all of the team would love to look after you and share some stories, both new and old.
Many of the team have worked at Urban Beach for a very long time. Some of them will be joining the team at The Urban Garden (I am keeping that one btw!), some are staying with the new owners, and some are seeking different opportunities. But to you and every one of them. Thank you.
