In 2023 it was upgraded into 13 serviced accommodation units – 2 one-bedroom flats, 4 self-catering studio apartments and 7 double and twin rooms. Designed in the Arts

and Crafts style on Knyveton Road, an avenue of ancient pines, this elegant detached house is a close neighbour to the homes of some of Britain’s most important and historic Victorian and Edwardian figures. Prime Minister Lord Derby, The Sheriff of Hampshire, Edward VII and Lillie Langtry all had houses on the Knyveton and Derby Road crossroads - far from the madding crowd, yet with all the stylish sophistication of any aristocratic London residence. Cransley retains the ambience of a traditional early 20th century private country house, yet offers all the quality facilities of modern 21st century living.

After squirrel vandalism on a cable caused a temporary loss of service, the rear garden camera is back on line. Squirrels will be monitored and George the cocker is on guard, so rodents be warned!
