_ Schools are back…

but summer isn’t quite finished yet! ☀️

Which means September is the perfect excuse for a little “just one more getaway”…
While everyone else is getting back into the school-run routine, there’s still time to sneak away to the while it’s a little quieter — fewer crowds, shorter queues, peaceful walks, cosy cafés and those gorgeous late-summer days that make you want to stay outside just a bit longer. 🌿🥾

Just you, the Lakes, and a cosy cottage waiting at the end of the day. 🏡
Remember, Summer officially hangs around until later this month…

A Sunday well spent 🌊

POV You thought Cumbria was just about the lakes - think again!

A Sunday well spent is a Sunday that leaves you feeling reset, recharged, and ready to take on the week ahead.

There was certainly something special about exploring Cumbria’s stunning coastline—the fresh sea air, peaceful views, and the chance to slow down and appreciate nature. Exactly the reset needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon with true Cumbrians, John Murphy and his team of Marshalls (all called John 😬IYKYK) on the stunning walk across the sands from Walney Island (a favourite for Broadcaster and naturalist Chris Packman), to Piel Island to explore the castle and meet The King of Piel (also the Landlord) of the Ship Inn.

A fun, friendly and interesting afternoon in the glorious sunshine and with warm Cumbrian hospitality- we highly recommend this but book ahead as their registrations soon fill up.
Child Friendly and Pet Friendly too!

For a more leisurely way to enjoy the island you can also hop on the wee ferry from Roa Island
