Summer in the Lake District is always popular with tourists, but early September is when The Dome House really shines.

The sun sets a little earlier, so you can still catch it from the patio. The hot tub and sauna are made for that shift into autumn evenings, especially after you’ve enjoyed a dip in our indoor pool. When it turns chilly, the wood-burning stoves in the Dome Room and Games Room will keep you warm.

We don’t just believe in treating our human guests well. Our four-legged guests get a very warm welcome too. After all, they’re Very Important Paws. 🐾

From cosy towels for muddy Lake District adventures, to treats and toys for some serious holiday entertainment, we like to make sure they feel right at home.

Throwback to last August, when Cheshire Life came to stay.

Thank you and for the write up 💞

We featured in the Christmas edition “Luxury in the Lakes. Unpretentious luxury, food that mattered.”

The menu was created to our guests specifications by chef Hayley. Charred peach and goats cheese, pan-fried monkfish with bon bon potato, cheesecake with cherry compote.

A year on and still creating special memories for our guests.

Naturally, we love all the rooms at Dome House, but if we had to pick just one it would be the Fell Suite.

Ironically, it doesn’t have the lake view, but it captures the essence of how the house’s vibe - warm, welcoming, calming, relaxing.

Not much to see of tonight’s partial solar eclipse from Dome House, the clouds had other plans. ☁️

But we can guarantee you won’t be disappointed by the sunsets and lake views.

Some views don’t need a rare celestial event to feel extraordinary, they’re just part of what makes Dome House feel so magical.
