Set on beautiful Baildon Moor, part of the Yorkshire nature reserve! A great area for walking or just relaxing enjoying the fresh air.

If you're heading to Baildon Moor Trig Point this September, let Harmonic Fields invite you to pause, wander and enjoy the landscape in a new way. 🎻

Journey through the magnificent landscape of Baildon Moor as an array of woodwind, string and percussive ensembles - vibrating drums, windmill xylophones, harmonic cellos, bamboo flutes, propeller sirens, gyrating musical boxes – are played by both the elements and ‘wind farmer’ characters.

The brainchild of composer Pierre Sauvageot, Harmonic Fields has previously been presented in Copenhagen, Marseille and Helsinki, and now comes to the West Yorkshire moorlands for the very first time.

Harmonic Fields is part of Nature Season, a programme of nature-themed cultural activity, spanning all five West Yorkshire districts and supported by West Yorkshire Combined Authority.

Please be aware BBQs are currently not allowed on site or the surrounding moor due to high fire risk and government alert.
The grass is super dry and one ember can easily start an uncontrollable fast spreading fire.
You can still bring a gas camping stove for use on the brick stands only, or have a picnic or order a takeaway to site.
Please also refrain from dropping ci******es or matches on the grass.

The Perseid Meteor Shower, one of the most spectacular and reliable meteor showers of the year, reaches its peak on the nights of 12–13 August 2026. Even better, this year’s peak coincides with a New Moon, giving us some of the darkest skies possible and creating near-perfect viewing conditions across the UK.
