We are absolutely delighted to share that Watson’s Farm Shop has been named Food Retailer of the Year – East Midlands 2026 at the My Local Awards! 🎉

This award means so much to our family and our whole team. After more than 200 years of farming, it’s incredibly special to see the hard work, passion and commitment that goes into our farm and shop recognised in this way.

From our own grass-fed Aberdeen Angus beef and Losehill lamb, Home Reared Pork, to our homemade sausages, bacon, pork pies and all the wonderful local produce we stock - we’re incredibly proud of what we do and where our food comes from 🥩 ❤️

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to everyone who voted for us, supported us and continues to shop with us. Your support means the world to our family.

☀️✈️ THE LANDLORD & LANDLADY ARE FINALLY OFF ON THEIR HONEYMOON! 🇬🇷💍

From 7th–21st September, we’re finally swapping the pub for a little Greek sunshine! ☀️🍹🇬🇷

But don’t worry — the pub will still be OPEN while we’re away! 🍻

Mother Debs will be manning the fort, alongside the rest of our fabulous team, so please be nice to them and keep them busy while we’re off sunning ourselves! 😂❤️

The kitchen will unfortunately be closed for those two weeks, and there are just a few small changes to our usual opening hours:

🍺 Monday: 5pm–9pm
🍺 Tuesday: 3pm–10pm
🍺 Wednesday–Friday: 3pm–11pm
🍺 Saturday: 12pm–11pm
🍺 Sunday: 12pm–9pm

We are also hoping to have food vans joining us on the Friday and Saturday evenings, so keep an eye on the page for details! 👀🍕🌮🐟

🌳🎲 A POLITE NOTICE ABOUT OUR GARDEN GAMES 🎲🌳

We love having our garden games available for everyone to enjoy, but unfortunately we’ve recently noticed some of them being kicked, thrown around and generally not treated with the care they should be, by both children and adults.

We’ve also regularly found games and pieces left scattered around the beer garden.

These games cost us a considerable amount of money, and we provide them completely free for everyone to enjoy. ❤️

So please:

👉 Treat the games with respect
👉 Use them for their intended purpose
👉 When you’ve finished, leave them tidy and set up as you found them, ready for the next person

Unfortunately, if we continue to find the games being damaged or misused, we’ll have no choice but to put them away. We’d really rather not do that!

Thank you for helping us look after them so everyone can continue to enjoy them. ☺️

We will have a maximum of just 40 spaces available, and from the amount of interest we’ve already had, we are already half sold out!

For the first time, we’ll be opening our doors for Christmas Day Dinner, allowing you to sit back, relax and let us do the cooking (and washing up! 🤣) this Christmas. ❤️

🎄 ONE SITTING ONLY

🍽️ Dinner served from 1pm

£85 per person — 3 courses
£75 per person — 2 courses

Both options include:
