Well… that’s us officially off for a few days as we tied the knot this weekend! 🤍💍

A huge thank you to all of our customers for your patience whilst we’ve been away celebrating.

As you can see, even on my wedding day I somehow ended up behind a bar… 🍺😂

You can take the landlady out of the pub, but you can’t take the pub out of the landlady!

We’ll be back open as normal on Friday 12th and look forward to seeing you all then.

⚽ Champions League Final live from 5pm
🎧 DJ Euan Halbert from 8pm until midnight bringing the tunes and helping us send the old bar off in style!

🍔 A quick reminder regarding food this evening:

Our last tables for food are at 7pm today, and these are already fully booked.

As we’re closing for 12 days after tonight, stock may be more limited than usual. We pride ourselves on keeping everything fresh, so we haven’t ordered large quantities in ahead of the closure.

If you are planning on dining with us this evening, please give us a call in advance so we can advise on availability and menu options.

Whether you’re joining us for the football, the music, or just a few drinks in the sunshine, we’d love to see you before we close the doors for the refurb! 🍻☀️

🚧 Just a friendly reminder… this is our LAST WEEK before we close for the bar refurb! 🚧

We will be closing from Sunday 31st May and reopening on Friday 12th June at 5pm for the grand reveal of our brand new bar 🍻✨

Before that though… we’re sending the old bar off in style 😏💃🕺

🍻 Just a reminder we are open from 12pm today for drinks! ☀️

🍔 Dinner service will run from 5pm–8pm, with the last table sitting at 7:15pm to ensure all food orders are in by 7.30pm.

After a very busy weekend, we do highly recommend booking in advance where possible, as stock levels are more limited than usual and we may not be able to accommodate all walk-ins this evening.

☀️🍺 Proper beer garden weather today! 🍺☀️

If ever there was a day for a cold pint in the sunshine… this is it 😍

🍔 Our kitchen is open today from 12pm–5pm, however please do bear with us throughout the day.

While everyone is enjoying the lovely 30° sunshine outside, it’s easily double that temperature stood over the grills and fryers in the kitchen 🥵🔥

To make sure both myself and Luke can grab the occasional quick break and cool down in the coldest part of the building, the beer cellar, food service may occasionally run in intervals during busy periods. It’s moments like this we really wish we had space for a walkin freezer ❄️😂

We really appreciate your patience and understanding — and as always, we’ll do our very best to keep everyone fed, watered, and enjoying the sunshine 🍻☀️

After how busy the last bank holiday weekend was — and with the weather forecast looking good again ☀️ — we’ve decided to open ALL DAY on Monday 25th, serving food in the evening 🍔🍺

⚠️ We do reserve the right to close earlier than advertised should the pub become empty after 9pm, but also stay open past closing time should the pub still be busy — so don’t leave it too late to come out and join us! 🍻

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our very first Banging Bingo here at Ye Olde Bowling Green Inn 🍻🎉

Safe to say… it definitely lived up to the name 😅🎶🎁

From the prizes, to the dancing, to the unbelievable atmosphere — you all made it such a fantastic night and we can’t thank you enough for the support.

So much so… we’re already doing it all again! 👀
