Hospitality is getting hit hard at the minute, and it’s something we’re seeing first-hand.
Week after week, good businesses are closing their doors. Cafés, restaurants, takeaways, pubs, food traders… places that are often right at the heart of their communities.
The costs involved in keeping a food business going are putting a serious strain on people. It’s not just the traders who feel it either. Customers feel it too, because when costs rise, prices have to rise just to keep the doors open.
And that’s the bit that hurts.
Good food should be something people can still enjoy. Families should be able to go out for a meal, grab something proper, support local businesses and know they’re helping keep people in work.
At Propa, we see how much this eats into everything. We’re determined to support the industry where we can, because this doesn’t just affect one business. It affects staff, suppliers, customers, high streets and communities.
