✨ We need your support - Please sign the petition ✨
Running a pub, restaurant or hotel in the UK has never been tougher — and one of the biggest pressures we face is the 20% VAT rate, which is one of the highest hospitality tax rates in Europe. It’s actually the second highest, with only Denmark above us. Meanwhile, many of our European neighbours operate on far fairer rates: Germany at 7%, and France, Italy and Spain at 10%.
Lowering VAT for hospitality to 10% would be the single most impactful step the Government could take to support local pubs, restaurants, cafés, hotels and the communities that rely on them. It would also be a huge boost to the great British public — helping keep prices fair, businesses open, and towns thriving.
We’re asking our community to come together, stand with us, and help protect the places you love. If you believe in supporting local hospitality, please take a moment to sign the petition to lower the rate to 10%, and share it with others. Every signature genuinely makes a difference.
