Retreat, relax, unwind and then explore beautiful North Devon. Escape to our unique off grid holiday cottage in a peaceful & tranquil valley near Braunton & the North Devon coast. The perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of modern living, we provide you with a wonderful space to unplug, destress and reconnect with yourself, your family and loved ones. Nestled in the lea of our oak wood and o
verlooking the water meadow where the river Caen meanders by, the Linhay is a cosy stone barn conversion for 2 or more. Just a few minutes drive from North Devon's golden sandy beaches - Croyde, Woolacombe, Saunton, Putsborough - and within easy reach of Exmoor National Park, it's a great base for exploring and ideal for cyclists and walkers who'd like a greener holiday. Our aim is to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible yet provide all the home comforts of a hot shower, flushing loo and well-equipped kitchen. The Linhay is off grid so no mains electricity or wifi - but we do have a reasonable mobile signal for most networks so you won't be entirely cut off! The woodburner heats the Linhay beautifully and will keep you warm and snug all year round with logs harvested from Butterhills wood. Its the perfect escape for couples, families and friends. Young children are welcome but will need to be well-supervised due to the proximity of the river and because there is no formal enclosed outside space - just acres of woodland and stream meadow to explore. Dogs on leads are very welcome too providing they are kept under control to protect the rich and abundant wildlife in the valley.
