Well one of our families has certainly been busy this week! This is their itinerary that they've kindly shared. If you're looking for some inspiration for adventure then look no further!

This was a multi-generational family group of 6 adults and 4 children ranging from 2.5 years to 11 years old, plus a Golden Retriever!

7 days of pure adventure and so much fun!

Thank you to all our guests last week- my highlight was seeing so many familiar faces coming back to the farm - thank you 😍 plus maybe the Tortoise 🐢 that came on holiday! He's definitely welcome any time 🐢💕

My two eldest girls have spent some of their birthday money on pony beads to make these bright and colourful keyrings in the hope of raising some money to give to Brecon Fire Station as a thank you for keeping us all safe in the wild fires in the last few weeks.
They are £1 each- if you are staying with us over the next week or so please support them 🚒👩🏻‍🚒❤️

Today we said "see you soon" to a family who have stayed across the 7 cottages for the last 10 days. It was an absolute pleasure to see them all again and we really look forward to seeing you again soon!

Donna, who is very talented at painting, very kindly painted these stunning flowers on our chalk board giving them a real wow factor glow up! Thank you, they're really special. I hope you'll agree they look so pretty 😍🌼🪻🌸🌹🌷🌻

Her husband Jon has also given me a memory stick full of photos and drone footage-can't wait to have a look! Thank you 💕

You may remember Tom drilling in this field a few months ago and we teased about what it might be!

Congratulations to those that guessed correctly! It was 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 a beautiful sea of sunflowers!

It is an experimental patch to see if they grew well, what guests thought about seeing them and also in the end to feed to the cattle.

Despite the complete lack of rain, I think they look pretty amazing 🌻💞

A huge 'Welcome Back' to a family that have been coming to The Vale for several years. It's so nice to see everyone again, we hope you all have a really lovely 10 days here and thank you again for choosing to come back to us.

Today has been a really busy day changing 7 cottages over after guests left yesterday after their 2 week stay. We look forward to seeing them again next year 🌻

1. Most guests visit and climb Pen-y-Fan - you can see it from the cottages!

2. We are a fully working farm based on 738 acres of stunning Welsh countryside.
These bulls are Simmental

3. We welcome dogs 🐕 They're part of the family too! We do kindly ask that they are on leads at all times due to having livestock around.

4. Our indoor pool and hot tub is always a welcome addition to any stay and included in all holidays.

5. Those sunsets! Perfect for the sunset chaser in you... Walk to the trig point for that great shot! 📷

6. New for 2026! Bring your horse on holiday. DIY grass livery available for up to 5 horses.

7. We have our very own Roman hill fort with trig point- the highest point on the farm and an easy trig to bag. 3km round trip from the cottages and back. A beautiful walk which is also buggy friendly.

8. Our playing field has seen many a game of rounders or football. The little play park Lewis the smallest (and biggest) kids happy too!

9. Booking a treatment with A.B Massage Therapy will be a highlight of your holiday. One of the best massages I've ever had!

10. Your inner Astrophotographer can truly come out during a winter stay here with the most stunning night skies and if you're really lucky you'll see the Northern lights 🌌

11. The amount of nature on this farm is amazing - bluebells, daffodils, fox gloves, the owls, woodpeckers.. The list goes on

12. The Elan Valley is definitely one to visit - amazing views and even better when the dams are running

13. Beaches of Swansea, The Mumbles, The Gower are about an hour and half away. Very easy beach days!

14. Epic adventures with Black Mountain Adventure with gorge walking, caving, clay pigeon shooting, rafting and more!

15. The best memories captured with your nearest and dearest!

16. Welsh castles are so much fun to explore!

17. We are so close to waterfall country- so many to explore- Blaen Y Glyn is our favourite!
