Having started life as a busy family home, it still retains a relaxed feel that welcomes you as soon as you s

tep inside. With stylish contemporary interiors complementing its classic Victorian features, the Coed is as perfect for a chilled weekend as for an enchanting wedding, ideal for an indulgent afternoon tea a deux or a lazy Sunday lunch with the whole tribe.​

At the Coed, you set the pace. You can shop till you drop in the neighbouring historic market town of Cowbridge, or easily head to Cardiff with its excellent mix of high street names in its award-winning shopping centre and independents peppered through stunning Victorian arcades.​

If it’s fresh air and exquisite scenery you’re after, we’re in a great spot for exploring the south Wales coast and countryside – and you can bring the dog. You don’t even have to leave the grounds for a wander - simply meander through our wood where, legend has it, a cave hid King Arthur’s body for a time. Then head back to relax in front of the fire or in the gardens with something special from our well-stocked bar before choosing from our contemporary Welsh menu.​

If you’ve visited us, you’ll know there’s no such thing as a quick hello with Ryan on reception 😄
He’s the friendly face who welcomes you in, keeps the front desk running smoothly and plays a part in supporting every single department. Yet, he still somehow turns every visit into a proper chat (usually about where’s good to eat or the best glass of Prosecco 🍾).
