Having started life as a busy family home, it still retains a relaxed feel that welcomes you as soon as you s

tep inside. With stylish contemporary interiors complementing its classic Victorian features, the Coed is as perfect for a chilled weekend as for an enchanting wedding, ideal for an indulgent afternoon tea a deux or a lazy Sunday lunch with the whole tribe.

At the Coed, you set the pace. You can shop till you drop in the neighbouring historic market town of Cowbridge, or easily head to Cardiff with its excellent mix of high street names in its award-winning shopping centre and independents peppered through stunning Victorian arcades.

If it’s fresh air and exquisite scenery you’re after, we’re in a great spot for exploring the south Wales coast and countryside – and you can bring the dog. You don’t even have to leave the grounds for a wander - simply meander through our wood where, legend has it, a cave hid King Arthur’s body for a time. Then head back to relax in front of the fire or in the gardens with something special from our well-stocked bar before choosing from our contemporary Welsh menu.

On the day, everything came together beautifully. The team worked incredibly hard behind the scenes, making everything feel effortless and allowing us to enjoy every moment. The food was fantastic, and we received so many lovely comments from our guests. The venue and grounds are beautiful, with so many gorgeous places for photographs. The venue has also had a significant upgrade since we first booked and is now even more beautiful. You can tell that The Coed is continually investing in its facilities and striving to be one of the best wedding venues in the business.

What stood out most was the people. Having a team who are approachable, responsive and genuinely care makes all the difference. Our wedding was everything we hoped for and more, and we'll always be grateful for the team's hard work, passion and kindness."
