We’re excited to announce 'Flying Scotsman' will be visiting the Severn Valley Railway this July! 🚂
The world’s most famous steam locomotive 60103 ‘Flying Scotsman’ will be making a rare guest appearance at the Severn Valley Railway from Friday 25 – Sunday 27 July.
Paired with Gresley teak carriages, ‘Flying Scotsman’ will haul three return trips a day on Friday 25, and then on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July, as part of the SVR’s Swingin’ Sixties event, which celebrates the 60th anniversary of the line in preservation.
‘Flying Scotsman’ will haul our first full-line service of the season, as we re-open all the way to Bridgnorth for public services on Friday 25 July. An embankment collapse earlier in the year cut off the northern end of the line.
Tickets for a return trip behind 60103 ‘Flying Scotsman’ are £45 per person and must be pre-booked.
Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday 18 June at 10am and we are expecting a high demand.

We are extremely grateful to the National Railway Museum and Northern Steam Operations Ltd for agreeing to 60103’s visit.
