Charity auction here at The Unicorn Inn

It sounds like a madcap scheme but when Paul decided to do the to Benidorm and raise funds for us, he knew he would make it.

His route went from Dover - Dunkirk - Paris- Spain - Benidorm and he did the 1,400 mile journey in just five days.

And his plucky Peugeot - which cost him just £250 - performed perfectly with no issues!

Before he set off, he and some close friends held an auction and, along with his sponsorship he raised more than £3,000 for our care.

Thank you so much Paul for your fantastic fundraiser. Beep, beep!

Macmillan Coffee morning.
Could I please thank everbody that participated, everybody that baked and everybody that donated to our Macmillan Coffee morning on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th.
We raised a massive £334.48 for this charity which could not have been staged without the full support of the Unicorn Inn Hampton Loade.

If you just bring a packet of biscuits then people will buy and we all will have raised money.

MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING.

Come and join us at the Unicorn Inn to raise money for this very worthwhile charity.
We are holding a cake decoration competition where we would like you to decorate a cake or cakes with a Unicorn theme.
BUT. We don't just want decorated homemade cakes!
It's a Coffee morning where you can come in have a cup of coffee or tea together with biscuits or a slice of cake and a chat.
Therefore bought cakes and biscuits are just as important as home made when sitting and having a chat.
Cakes and biscuits will be on sale to take away so please drop in and get a cake to take home after you have had a cuppa.

Saturday 26th September between

To have a bit if fun and a slice of cake.
Remember that some people have certain allergies and conditions which mean specialist cakes are also welcome eg. Gluten Free, dairy etc.
Also vegan and vegetarian cakes will also be great but it might be better if these are bought inorder to ensure that they are not made in areas away from allergy ingredients.

To everybody who helped support Severn Hospice.
I can now confirm that the auction, Raffle, sweet sale and tombola raised an impressive £1604.00 this money will be put into Paul's "Just giving " page as we can then get around £300 extra with gift aid.
We would like to personally thank everybody who donated, bought, gave money and gave support to this important local charity as without your support there is no fund raising event.
All items that were left from your Friday night auction went to the Severn Hospital charity shop where it will be sold on.
Paul and Linda are now on there way doing the Rat Run to Benidorm and I am sure that they would love to hear from you on their face book page.
