Every year for 10 days in September, Heritage Open Days brings people together to celebrate their heritage, community and history. It offers the public a chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – and it’s all FREE.

We have an amazing programme of local events including tours of the Old Vicarage Bridgwater, Bridgwater Arts Centre, Wembdon Road Cemetery and St. Mary's Church Bridgwater, plus events hosted by Bridgwater History & Civic Society and an exclusive exhibition by Blake Museum .

Voilà… done! 🤤

Remember those garden-fresh courgettes from earlier? Well, here they are transformed into a beautifully rich and tasty courgette risotto 💚

Fresh from our garden, straight into The Vicarage kitchen and now onto the plate -you can’t get much more local than that!

We think it looks rather delicious… what do you think? 😍

There’s something rather special about cooking with ingredients grown just a few steps from the kitchen.

Here’s Candy creating a delicious courgette risotto, using courgettes freshly picked from our very own garden at The Old Vicarage. Simple, seasonal and full of flavour ...exactly how Somerset dining should be.

We’re very sorry to say that, due to a lack of uptake, we have reluctantly made the decision to cancel our Children’s Movie Day on Saturday 29th August.

We know some families were looking forward to joining us for Moana and we’re disappointed that we won’t be able to go ahead as planned.
