Avalon Priory (Grade II listed) in Chilton Polden, Somerset, built in 1836 by William Stradling as a folly containing a tower, chapel and grotto to house his antiquarian collection and to hold meetings of his Masonic Lodge (The Lodge of Perpetual Friendship, Bridgwater). In the time since, it was enlarged into a country home for Katherine Maltwood (1878-1961) sculptress and visionary discoverer of

the Glastonbury Zodiac. Examples of her scupltures still exist in the chapel and grounds. Today the place provides a vegan houseshare & holistic events venue.
