🪁 There’s something special about a sky full of kites…

On the 16th & 17th May, Bridlington comes alive with colour, laughter, and one of the most loved weekends on the coast.

If you’re heading that way, it’s the perfect excuse to make a proper weekend of it.

Enjoy the festival during the day, then come back to a bit of space, fresh air, and a quieter pace at Thorpe Hall. There’s plenty of room on site too with a five-acre field for games or just stretching out, or for experienced anglers we've a small fishing pond if you fancy slowing things down.

Stay however suits you… bring the caravan, tent, motorhome or campervan, try one of our bell tents, or book into one of our holiday cottages if you want a bit more comfort. We're family friendly and dogs are welcome too, of course.

Where dogs aren’t just allowed… they’re part of the holiday.🐾

At Thorpe Hall, we’re lucky to welcome over 600 dogs each year—and it’s easy to see why.

From sunrise walks across the Yorkshire Wolds 🌅to peaceful evening strolls around the public footpaths and bridleways 🌿(and if walking to the village, even the occasional paddle in the Gypsey Race )💦 There’s plenty of space for both you and your dog to unwind.

We’re also planning to introduce guided sunrise and sunset walks for our guests and their dogs. These will be relaxed, small-group walks for adults and families, led by the owner and will include local insights from the history of the estate to the flora, fauna and wildlife of the Great Wold Valley.

Later on in the season, we’re thinking of hosting our very first Thorpe Hall Dog Show — a fun,🐕🎉informal event for our guests and their four-legged companions.

Race the Waves update for racers. We're delighted to be the official campsite again in 2026 and have already reserved the whole site specifically for all those of you who are lucky enough to get your race numbers 👍 We will share more details soon on how you can provisionally reserve a pitch

The sun is out which is much needed and with a week to go before we open, final preparations are well under way.
