What a sunflower season it’s been at Coppet Hill! 🌻

Since opening our 6-acre sunflower field in July, we’ve welcomed nearly 3,000 visitors to wander along our dragonfly-shaped path through the sunflowers.

And it hasn’t just been the sunflowers you’ve enjoyed… our Tea Room has been busy too!

Together, you’ve enjoyed:

🥓 Over 380 Denhay bacon & cheese toasties
🍦 Over 1,000 Baboo ice creams
☕️ Nearly 1,000 cups of local Clipper tea & Goose & Badger coffee

It’s been wonderful seeing families, friends and visitors enjoying the field, stopping for lunch, treating themselves to cake or an ice cream, and making the most of our little corner of West Dorset.

Most importantly, we’re so proud that our sunflowers are grown with a purpose — providing food for pollinators, shelter and habitat for wildlife, and helping support biodiversity on the farm.

Thank you to every single person who visited, walked the dragonfly, enjoyed a cuppa, shared a toastie, or simply stopped to take in the view.

You’ve helped make this our best sunflower season yet. 💛

Here’s to the sunflowers, the wildlife, the cake, and all of you who came to enjoy them! 🌻

🌻✨ Stories in the Sunflowers at Coppet Hill ✨🌻

What a magical evening of storytelling at Coppet Hill!

Surrounded by golden sunflowers and the beautiful summer landscape, we gathered to listen to the wonderful Martin Maudsley, whose captivating storytelling brought the setting to life.

With tales, laughter, imagination and a little bit of magic, Martin reminded us of the power of a good story whilst surrounded by nature.

A truly memorable evening among the sunflowers. 🌻📖💛

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the event so special — and a huge thank you to for transporting us into his world of stories.

Eclipse Night at Coppet Hill 🌙

What an incredible evening we had at the top of Coppet Hill with our campers, village and friends.

We took the pop up Coppet Hill bar, fully stocked with some great Palmers Brewery beer and cider, to the top of the hill and invited our guests to join us to watch this awesome event together.

Huge thank you to Chris Jackson for taking some super family pics in the bar and capturing the eclipse.

Some incredible memories that everyone there will treasure and remember for ever.

🌻 Why do we grow sunflowers? 🌻

Our sunflower fields are about so much more than creating a beautiful summer display.

Throughout the summer, they provide an important source of food for pollinators, create habitats for wildlife such as hares and deer, and play a valuable role in diversifying our farm.

As the seasons change, the benefits continue. Over winter, the remaining seed heads become a vital food source for migratory birds, while the plants act as a natural cover crop, helping to protect our soil from erosion and providing shelter for insects, birds and small mammals.

Every sunflower we grow has a purpose – supporting biodiversity, protecting the environment, and helping nature thrive all year round.

After your stroll through the sunflowers, why not relax in our Tea Room? Enjoy a homemade Denhay bacon BLT, a delicious cheese & bacon toastie, or treat yourself to a traditional cream tea, freshly brewed coffee and a selection of homemade cakes.

There’s plenty of fun for the whole family too, with Swingball and giant Jenga to enjoy on the lawn overlooking the sunflower field – the perfect spot to sit back, relax and make the most of your visit.

So when you visit our Sunflower Saunter, you’re not just enjoying a beautiful day out – you’re supporting a landscape that’s working hard for wildlife while making memories with family and friends. 💛🌻

🌻Open Every Day until 23rd August
⏰ 9.30am - 4.30pm
