October Half Term at Louma

The best childhood memories are often the simplest ones.

Days spent outdoors. Hands covered in dirt from planting seeds. Marshmallows toasted over the fire. Discovering tiny creatures hidden amongst the gardens. Making new friends, creating something colourful to take home, and returning to bed each evening delightfully tired from a day of adventure.

This October Half Term, Louma is filled with experiences designed for little explorers. From our Little Louma Activity Club and Little Farmers sessions to pumpkin carving, planting workshops, marshmallow toasting and Mini Beast adventures around the estate, there is something to spark every imagination.

While the children are busy creating memories of their own, parents can take a moment enjoy a quieter pace, whether that's an afternoon by the pool, a treatment in the Wellness Barn, a leisurely lunch, or time spent among the vines discovering the story behind Louma Wines.

Together, and apart, everyone gets the holiday they need.

With careful hands and generations of knowledge, the first grapes of the season are being picked from the vine, marking the start of one of our favourite times of year at Louma.

This first pick brings in our Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier for sparkling w**e production. For our still w**es, we'll leave the fruit on the vine a little longer, allowing the grapes to develop greater ripeness and concentration before a second harvest later in the season.

From vineyard to bottle, every harvest tells a story of the land, the weather and the people who nurture it. We look forward to seeing this year's vintage take shape in the months ahead.

Blue crates are lined up in the rows, secateurs are ready, and our Pinot Meunier is nearly ripe for harvest.

Next week we’ll be heading into the vineyard to pick what promises to be another exciting vintage.

This World Relaxation Day, settle into a swinging seat with a good book, wander beneath the shade of the woodland trees, or pause with a glass of Louma w**e as you look out across the vineyards towards the coast.
