As part of West Dorset CAMRA’s 50th anniversary celebrations, we thought it would be a great idea to have an Ale Trail (or 5!) around our area.
The pubs included are those who have been in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide the most times and have agreed to be involved. The aim is to increase footfall across the pubs, without making the event too onerous for the pub staff.
The overarching trail is split into 5 sub-trails, colour-coded and within reasonable geographical closeness – with a couple of outliers in each trail, we want you to explore pubs you might not have visited before!
The pubs involved have been supplied with inked stamps to evidence your visit. Any drink qualifies for a stamp, not only real ale, and soft drinks are included.
You can read more about the trail via the link in the comments and download your copy. It will also be included in the Spring 2026 edition of the Giant’s Pint, which is coming out shortly. Pubs will accept both versions, and all pubs will have their initial stock of leaflets by the end of this week.
