Sunset Beats, Darkbear Cocktails & Live World Cup! 🌅🍹⚽

Next Thursday (11th June), we’re launching our brand-new Sunset Sessions at Martin's Bar & Restaurant right here on park – and trust us, you won't want to miss it. 🎧

They're kicking things off from 4pm to 8pm with the brilliant Lloyd from DarkBear taking over the Garden Bar, shaking up his award-winning cocktails while DJ HandJam spins the ultimate sunset soundtrack. Expect laid-back, chilled Ibiza-style beats to watch the sun go down, before the tempo rises later on with a smooth blend of Funk, Soul, and upbeat remixes. 🥂

Hungry? The kitchen is cooking until 8pm, so you can grab some proper food and settle in for the night. 🍟🍔

But the night doesn't end when the sun goes down. Next Thursday also marks the big kickoff for the FIFA World Cup. ⚽ From 9pm, the energy shifts indoors to the massive big screens to show the opening live action. 🏆🎉

Whether you’re heading over for the coastal holiday vibes, the drinks, or the beautiful game, the atmosphere is going to be massive.

Live music on the Park 🎸

Luke Potter Music is playing live at Martin's Bar & Restaurant tomorrow evening, bringing an easy, singalong set that spans everything from the 60s to today.

Expect plenty of familiar favourites along the way, from The Beatles and Oasis through to Ed Sheeran and Noah Kahan. 🎶

Great food, drinks flowing and live music just a short walk from your accommodation – an easy way to spend the evening on the Park. 🍻

Spent the morning at Hive Beach or West Bay? 🍦

If the kids still have energy to burn before dinner, head back to the park for our pool fun sessions at Highlands End Leisure Club. As it's May half term, we are running these daily - it's the perfect way to round off a day on the coast. 🏝️✨

From 4–6pm, we swap the quiet lengths for loud music and inflatables. 🏊‍♂️ We run two separate sessions from 4–5pm or 5–6pm, so you can pick the slot that suits you best. Our normal timetable will resume as usual on Monday 1st June.

60 years of community spirit! 🚣‍♂️⚓️

The West Bay Raft Race is a true highlight of the local calendar. It all started back in the 1960s with Ernie Hicks, originally racing from the Melplash Showground all the way down to the sluice gates at West Bay! 🧡 While the course has changed over the decades, that wonderful community energy remains exactly the same.

We love being part of the local history that makes this area so special. This year, the West Dorset Leisure Holidays crew is bringing plenty of energy and a brand-new design to the start line on Thursday 23rd July, 2026. 🛶✨

Keeping everyone happy at dinnertime on holiday is an art form. Luckily, we make Tuesdays easy. 🍛

Curry Night runs from 4pm to 8pm at Martin's Bar & Restaurant. Grab a full or small curry plate for yourselves, and if the kids aren't keen on spice, they can grab fish & fries, chicken strips or mac & cheese from the £8 children's menu. 🍟

Let them burn off some energy in the soft play or outdoor play area while you finish your drinks in peace. 🍹

Just like humans need to take off their coats in hot weather, so do alpacas! 🦙

On Saturday, just in time for the heatwave, our herd had their annual haircuts, leaving them much more prepared for the hot weather! Here's some before and after shots of our girl Saffie 🩷

Sunshine like this is made for an easy Sunday ☀️

Our Roast on the Coast carvery is on today at Martin's Bar & Restaurant — a relaxed lunch, plenty of time to settle in, and a good excuse to slow things down.

The beer garden’s looking its best too — perfect for lingering a little longer in the sun 😎🍺

Then, a little look ahead to tomorrow 👀 Martin's Bar are open from 12pm, with something a little more playful from 5–7pm. Preacher The Storyteller is back bringing games, stories and plenty of audience involvement 🎈🎉

It’s not a sit‑and‑watch show — kids and adults are all part of it, with moments designed to get everyone laughing along together.

Fancy dress is encouraged, it’s completely free, and there’s no need to book — just turn up and join in ✨🎲
