A little piece of The Bull, captured by a local artist…

We’re proud to have this beautiful original sketch of the front of The Bull Hotel by local artist Terry Whitworth.

Every Saturday, Terry shares one of his sketches of a local building and its history in a Bridport community Facebook group, where they’ve become a much loved part of the local community and receive a huge amount of appreciation.

So when Terry sketched The Bull, we knew we wanted to keep it close.

Our building has nearly 500 years of stories behind it, and having a piece of local artwork celebrating its character feels like a rather lovely addition to the guest experience.

Announcing our Festive Willow Wreath Workshops with Kim Biddle!

We’re delighted to welcome local creative Kim Biddle of Welcome the Maker for a special festive wreath-making workshop in the cosy surroundings of our Hayloft.

Settle into a warm winter atmosphere and enjoy an afternoon or evening of creativity as Kim guides you through the traditional art of willow weaving. What makes this workshop extra special is that you’ll first learn how to create your own willow wreath base from scratch, before decorating it with a beautiful selection of seasonal foliage and festive embellishments. The handcrafted willow frame can be reused year after year, allowing you to refresh and redesign your wreath each Christmas.

No experience is necessary and all materials will be provided.

On arrival, enjoy a warming glass of mulled w**e or mulled apple juice, along with a festive mince pie. Our bar will also be open throughout the workshop and guests can choose to add one of our delicious sharing boards to nibble on while you create.

Date: Wednesday 3rd December - 2.00-4.30pm or 6-8.30pm

Location: The Hayloft, The Bull Hotel, Bridport

Ticket Price: £55 per person plus booking fee
