Some mornings at Drakes begin exactly like this.

A tray appears. Coffee first. Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon doing their thing. Toast standing proudly at attention. Granola on the side for those pretending to be healthy.

And one small, extremely hopeful guest who is absolutely convinced the whole breakfast has been prepared for them.

At Drakes, mornings are best taken slowly — in bed, with sea views drifting through the window, and at least one set of puppy-dog eyes politely requesting a bite of toast.

Dogs welcome. Sharing optional. 🐾
