We understand good Wi-Fi connection means a lot to travellers and we worked hard to achieve the best result of Wi-Fi signal. Traditionally people use Wi-Fi range extenders to extend the coverage of Wi-Fi. That was how we did before 2016. However, there is a big defect of Wi-Fi range extender - people cannot roam seamlessly between main AP and extending AP(s). Each AP has to be given a different SSID otherwise APs are completing against each other if a device is placed in the middle of two or more APs.
In 2016 we upgraded our Wi-Fi by replacing range extenders with Wi-Fi feeder system. Basically Wi-Fi feeder system is using RF cable and splitters to put Wi-Fi antennae to the places closer to the clients. We put an antenna on each floor to ensure full coverage of every room. Due to non-availability of 5G Hz RF splitters, we were not able to implement dual band Wi-Fi feeder system.
In November 2017, we found a very good mesh Wi-Fi product on the market - BT Wholehome Wi-Fi system. As its name suggests, it is designed for home usage. We had a little worry of its reliability and availability at the beginning. Basically we require a system that can work 24/7/365 and never need restarting. Is it good for commercial environment? We had watched it for two months before installation. It proved to be very reliable, and very intelligent. So we had 6 discs installed recently. Now guests can walk around house without the annoying signal dropping and reconnecting. Come and taste our Virgin Media Voom Fibre superfast 350Mbps internet connection combined with BT Wholehome AC2533 superfast seamlessly roaming Wi-Fi.
By the way, we recommend BT Wholehome Wi-Fi to home users as well. It is very easy to use.
