Bravo! to the intrepid group of family, friends and well-wishers who stopped over at Old Church Farm on their epic 200 mile walk from Billericay in Essex to Barry in Wales. Despite some minor injuries and blisters the walkers remained in exceptional spirit whilst raising funds for pancreatic cancer.

It's GOLD for Old Church Farm in the Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards!
This part of the west country is well represented with amazing places to stay so we were delighted to have made the cut for the final selection. When was announced as Silver medallists I knew we had won. This year's ceremony, like last year's was held via Zoom and Kate was out when our category sponsored by Barrington Associates was announced. She couldn't believe it when she joined me in our drawing room and I broke the news.
She shouldn't have been so surprised. Her cooking has won praise from everyone that has had an evening meal or breakfast. Her training requires fresh ingredients and we are blessed with a wide selection of fruit, vegetables and herbs from our gardens. She often is on her feet in her kitchen from breakfast service right through to the last dessert going out at night. Customers don't see the work that goes into making everything from scratch. So my darling wife, I dedicate this award to you!

Seville oranges are in season and Kate's been busy in the kitchen making the marmalade you all adore to complement our homegrown and home made strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrant jams.

The Good Hotel Guide 2022
We are proud and delighted to have made the cut again this year and included in the 2022 Good Hotel Guide. Unlike some other publications, the GHG does not charge for inclusion, which is based solely on merit. Sadly, some establishments get removed each year, so nobody can rest on their laurels.
Aside from saving discerning travellers time in narrowing down their choice the guide contains discount vouchers which more than recoup the cover price of £20 in one trip alone! We will be offering copies of the Guide for sale here at Old Church Farm - they also make great Christmas presents!
