3. Clifton Suspension Bridge and Avon Gorge (5 miles) - Clifton Suspension Bridge is one of Bristol’s most recognisable structures and one of the top tourist attractions. 5. Brunel's SS Great Britain (6 miles) - the world's first iron-hulled passenger ship, lives on at the same dry dock where the great vessel was built and launched in 1843. 6. Chew Valley Lake (5 miles) - Chew Valley Lake Nature Reserve is a great place for bird watching. It has SNCI, SSSI and SPA environmental designations. The lake is also popular with anglers, dinghy sailors and has some great nature trails and picnic areas. 8. Glastonbury and Glastonbury Tor (20 miles) - Home of the Glastonbury Festival and situated on the Somerset Levels the quirky town is full of magic and mystery. Glastonbury is steeped in history and is often referred to as the spiritual centre of England. Glastonbury Tor is one of the most popular spots in the whole of Somerset.
