We've just been to see the local theatrical group portray the history of Brixham. They told the story in short chapters around the harbour, starting at Grenville House and ending at the Old Fish Market. It was absolutely terrific - we are never surprised by the diverse entertainment that we enjoy in Brixham.

Brixham was once again rocking yesterday! The team at Rockfish put on an amazing show celebrating the good old sardine. The festival was fabulous with good food, great music and fabulous company. If you missed it this year, it's well worth a visit next year.

Well, I definitely wouldn't describe the fireworks as a small display! They were terrific and a great start to the Sardine Festival which kicks off tomorrow at 12 noon. Thank you Mitch Tonks & Rockfish for an amazing show.

Stop Press!!!
The Torbay Literary Festival kicks off on Monday 10th August at Paignton's Palace Theatre. It commences at 9.15 a.m. with local author Sarah Pearse opening the show.

The festival will run for the whole week with a variety of authors and poets presenting themselves and their stories, including names such as Sue Pollard, Christopher Biggins and Paul Burrell, to name but a few.

What a lovely day celebrating Laura & Daniel's wedding day here at Brookside Guest House. The bride looked beautiful when she arrived back from her big day. We are so thrilled that they chose to stay with us for their honeymoon night.
Here's to wishing them many happy years together.

Something different is happening today at Brookside Guest House - we had the groom staying last night and as you can see he is off to his wedding with his best man in a Rolls Royce Phantom - were looking forward to him returning with his wife a little later this evening. How exciting!!
