BBQs and Beaches…Be Mindful!

Barbecues on the beach, if not done right can leave lasting scars. Disposable barbecues cause wildfires.

🏖 Barbecues on sand can cause severe burns to people and pets, hours after they’re used as the sand heats up and doesn’t cool down for hours
🔥 Never bury a BBQ. Wait until it is cold and then dispose of it in a bin or take it home
🌬 Never place a barbecue on grass or other vegetation, it doesn’t take much to start a fire
👣 Always take every scrap of packaging, food, and waste away with you

An autumn walk along the coastal path to the Sloop Inn, an historic pub on the harbour front in Porthgain. Dogs are allowed inside in the bar only in winter, and on the outside patio area the rest of the year. Worth a visit.
