🍂 October half term is getting closer! 🍂

We can't speak for everyone, but we could certainly do with a change of scenery after those first few weeks back at school.

Think beach walks, rock pooling, exploring the coast, wrapping up for an adventure and then heading back to your cottage for a cosy evening together.

Broad Haven is much quieter at this time of year, but that’s exactly why we love it. 💙

A holiday means having a night off from cooking, right?

One of the things we love is having some lovely places to eat right on your doorstep.

Stay local for something to eat in Broad Haven, or take the lovely walk around to Little Haven and make an evening of it. Good food, a drink and a wander back along the coast sounds pretty perfect to us!

And, of course, there’s always the option of fish and chips by the sea. 🌊

Who says seaside holidays are just for summer?

October is one of our favourite times here in Broad Haven. The summer rush has completely gone, but there are still plenty of beautiful (and sometimes blustery!) days to be enjoyed.

Pull on your walking shoes, wander down to the beach, explore a little more of the coast path and then come back to Atlantic View, put your feet up and enjoy that view. 💙

One of the best things about staying in Broad Haven? You can leave the car exactly where it is. 🥾🌊

Step out of the door and you're straight onto the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, with some incredible walks in both directions.

Head towards Little Haven for one of our favourites – it's an easy coastal walk with breathtaking sea views, hidden coves and the perfect excuse to stop for a drink or bite to eat before wandering back.

Or head the other way towards Nolton Haven and Newgale, where you'll find dramatic cliffs, wide open views across St Brides Bay and plenty of spots to simply stop and take it all in.

Every walk feels a little different depending on the weather, the tide and the time of day, which is probably why we never get tired of them.

No family holiday in Pembrokeshire is complete without a trip to the beach. From building sandcastles and paddling in the sea to exploring rock pools and flying kites, some of the best family memories are made by the coast.

Broad Haven beach is a favourite for families thanks to its wide sandy beach, shallow waters and plenty of space to play. Newgale and Whitesands are also fantastic choices for a full day of seaside fun.

Pack a picnic, bring a bucket and spade, and you’ve got one of the best free things to do in Pembrokeshire with kids.
