This morning, we had a rare and magical sighting!!

A small group of wild haggis wandering across our tent terraces. 😍😍

Round, fluffy, and completely unfazed by us, they grazed quietly in the early light.

A proper Highland moment we won’t forget anytime soon. 😉😉

It's today!!

Join us today at Camping Skye to plant over 400 native trees! BSCC staff and volunteers will be onsite at the camping shelter to add in a mix of Alder, Rowan, Oak, WIllow and Birch for biodiversity!

Tree planting from 11am - 1pm with a guided walk 1:30pm - 2:45pm.

The guided walk starts and ends at Camping Skye, looking at the Growers Hub, Tree Nursery and the wilds of the Community Woodland. Wellies essential for the rougher section of the walk beyond the formal paths!

Hot soup and refreshments available at the camping shelter, with displays and staff to chat to on our plans for the Broadford Community Woodland. Lots of volunteer opportunities available for the next year too!

Community Woodland Day-Broadford and Strath Community Company

Sunday 23 November, 11 - 3, Camping Skye

We do hope you will join us this Sunday for a fun and hands-on day celebrating trees and woodlands, to mark National Tree Week.

There will be tree planting in the morning, a tour of the tree nursery and parts of the community woodland in the afternoon, and info displays/refreshments all day.

Everyone welcome but please come dressed for all weathers!
