Step aboard the Santa Express this Christmas and journey through the beautiful Cotswold countryside to the North Pole, where Santa Claus himself will be waiting to welcome your family.

This year, every Santa Express departs from Toddington, our home station, so your festive adventure begins right at the heart of the railway.

Climb aboard a beautifully decorated heritage train for a magical steam-hauled journey, arrive at the North Pole to meet Santa in his festive grotto, and watch your children's faces light up as they share their Christmas wishes and receive a special gift to take home. With festive decorations at every turn and plenty of photo opportunities, it's a day the whole family will remember.

🎟️ Tickets for Santa Express 2026 go on sale tomorrow, Midday Tuesday 1 September. Demand is always high, so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment!

🍂 As the days grow shorter, September and October are delightful months to enjoy a Cotswolds break, with the countryside beginning to take on its beautiful autumn colours and plenty of fantastic events taking place across the area.

Our Lower Mill Cottages and Laburnum Cottage in Broadway are perfect for a relaxing autumn escape, while March Hare Cottage in nearby Bretforton is just a short stroll from the historic Fleece Inn – making it a great base for exploring the Vale of Evesham too. The area comes into its own for those leisurely autumnal walks.

🍎 September is particularly busy, with the Broadway Horticultural & Craft Show on Saturday 12th September, the Broadway Food Festival on Sunday 13th September and the North Cotswold CAMRA Beer & Cider Festival on 11th & 12th September. The RHS Malvern Autumn Show then takes place from 25th–27th September. Come along to any of these events as they are not as busy as in the Summer and you get to feel that you are a local.

📚 October brings the Cheltenham Literature Festival from 9th–18th October, followed by The William Hill Showcase at Cheltenham Racecourse on 23rd & 24th October.

And if you're staying at March Hare Cottage, The Fleece Inn has plenty going on too, including live music, folk sessions and other events throughout September and October.

Whether you're looking for a countryside escape, great food, local events or a cosy autumn break, there's plenty to enjoy.
