Set in the beautiful Cotswold town of Broadway, just a ten minute stroll from the lovely centre but set back 200 yards from the road we offer a quiet and peaceful base from which to enjoy Broadway and the rest of this area of outstanding natural beauty. Built in 1903 the Station Master's house provides spacious rooms with en-suite facilities, tasteful furnishings and all the little touches that help to make your stay a quality bed and breakfast experience. We pride ourselves on attention to detail and strive to ensure that our guests are able to relax and enjoy their stay in the Cotswolds to the full. We have been rated No 1 in Broadway, No 1 of 510 B&Bs in the Cotswolds and No 6 in the UK by TripAdvisor.
The line was originally part of the Great Western Railway's Cheltenham–Stratford-upon-Avon–Birmingham line, known as the Honeybourne Line, built in 1900–1906, and runs through the Cotswold towns of Winchcombe and Bishop's Cleeve.[1] The line was run down over the years and finally closed after a derailment damaged a stretch of track in 1976, with the double track being lifted from 1979.
Following the closure of the line the house was sold and extended by the new owners. Old Station House has been run as a Guest House for many years and provides the perfect base for visiting Broadway and the Cotswolds. We moved into the Old Station House in 2011 and after seven months of refurbishment opened for business in March 2012. At about the same time the GWRS began re-building Broadway Station exactly as it was and re-laying the track so that steam services will again run from Broadway to the Cheltenham race course.
After seven years of operating next to a building site we are pleased that steam services have resumed from our doorstep. Full details and links to timetables and events are available on our website. www.broadwaybedandbreakfast.com
