This enchanting little bothy makes the perfect escape for a romantic getaway or for a couple looking to enjoy the best countryside on this delightful island. Set on a working farm, the Farmhouse Bothy is newly renovated to provide you with a fresh, stylish and welcoming holiday home. With open plan living space looking across the garden to the sea, a brand new kitchen and a wood burning stove you will not want to leave. The double bedroom and en-suite wet room shower are a restful retreat and outside you have use of the garden with its BBQ and garden furniture.
Behind the Bothy are farm buildings and you can enjoy the farm’s home grown produce, as well as enjoying the local wildlife and the friendly working collies on the farm. You can walk down to the beach from here – long stretches of pristine water, rock pools, birds and seals, and maybe spot the elusive otter. If you have less energy, you can drive down the track to the beach but, be warned, part of the beach is designated for naturists!
Ossian’s mound is just to the front of the Bothy and next to the walled Garden. It is reputed to be the burial ground of the poet Ossian.
Nearby is the little hamlet of Lagg where the summer months see the local hotel open for meals if you want a change from cooking.
