❤️ONE LAST HURRAH, TEAM DOUGLAS! 🥂🫶🥂

Well, folks… we’ve got just ONE LAST NIGHT to go! 😢💜

As we get ready to raise a glass one last time this Saturday with the brilliant Mike Edwards to entertain you, we want to say the biggest, heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has made the Douglas so special over the years.

To our wonderful Team Douglas — past and present — our amazing guests, loyal customers, fantastic suppliers and all the talented musicians who have filled our bar with music, laughter and memories… thank you for being part of our story. You’ve made the Douglas so much more than just a hotel 🥹💜

But before we close the doors, there’s time for ONE LAST HURRAH! 🎉

So grab your friends, come along for a bite to eat, enjoy a few drinks, soak up the atmosphere and, of course, grab yourself a Douglas Duck! 🐥😂

We’ve got hundreds of little black ducks looking for their new forever homes, so please help us send them off on their next adventure! 🏡🖤

The Douglas will close its doors from Sunday for seven months of refurbishment, and while it’s the end of a very special chapter for us, we can’t wait to see what the future holds 🐝💛🖤

From all of us at Team Douglas, thank you for the laughs, the friendships, the celebrations and the memories. We’ll carry them with us long after the lights go out on Saturday night 💜

🍂 How is it October already?! 🍂

This year has absolutely flown by! ✨

We’ve got just 3 weekends to go before we close our doors on 18th October for our exciting winter refurbishment. 🛠️🏨

And what a fantastic line-up of musicians we have to see us through our final few weekends! 🎶🥂

We’d also like to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to all the amazing singer-songwriters and musicians who have performed at The Douglas over the years and helped create so many wonderful memories:

He’d play practically any song you requested… for the price of a b**r! 😂
Although there was one very important rule… DON’T request Ed Sheeran! 🤣

Jonnie left such a special mark on The Douglas, and we know how many of our guests and locals have fond memories of his Saturday nights with us. ❤️

So, from all of us at The Douglas, thank you to every musician who has entertained us, our wonderful guests and our customers over the last 15 years. You’ve been such a huge part of what made The Douglas feel like The Douglas. 🎶🌸🌺🥂

Here’s to our final three weekends… let’s make them memorable! 🥂✨

It’s always extra special when familiar faces walk through the doors of The Douglas, and we’ve been delighted to welcome some of our wonderful regular guests for another stay this week 🥰🏨

We’re so grateful for the continued support, friendship and memories you’ve shared with us over the years — you really are part of the Douglas family 💛

Although it will be bittersweet when we close our doors for the refurbishment in 3 weeks time, we’re already looking forward to welcoming you all back next Spring… when you’ll get to see all the exciting changes and transformation that’s happening over the winter! ✨🔨🏨

Our Sunday Roasts have been proving very popular over the last few weeks, so we’re making them a regular thing! 🎉

Join us every Sunday from 12–9pm for a proper Sunday feast at The Douglas.

🥩 Rosemary & Garlic 48-Hour Marinated Sirloin of Beef
🍗 Rosemary & Garlic 48-Hour Marinated Chicken Breast

Served with buttery mash, crispy roast potatoes, tenderstem broccoli, glazed carrots & parsnips, a Yorkshire pudding and plenty of gravy. 🤤

🌱 Plant-Based Roast
Thyme-roasted whole squash, root vegetables, Yorkshire pudding, sea-salt roast potatoes & port jus.
