Taken yesterday in Lamlash between the light showers. It looked like the bloom was starting to appear again with the very turquoise water. It was seen more clearly from the hill going down to the bay.

We've mentioned the Coastguard, so not a shout out to our other local hero's the Arran Mountain Rescue Team team. We have an amazing team on the island, and with all MRTs they are volunteers that give up their time to help people in trouble, day or night in all weathers. You really don't want to need them, but it's good to know they are here.

The warmer weather is very tempting and it's great to get out into the sea, swimming, kayaking or paddleboarding. Stay safe, stay in your depth, watch the weather conditions and if doing a paddle sport wear a bouyancy aid.

If you see someone you think may be in trouble, don't wait, call 999 and ask for the coastguard. Better a false alarm (with good intent) than one that's too late.
