Tedstone Log Cabins

Tedstone Log Cabins Come and relax in our bespoke, handcrafted log cabins, set within private grounds, with breath taking views across the glorious Herefordshire countryside.

Each cabin is unique, and has been slowly and lovingly put together. All the wood used in our cabins, has been sustainably sourced from within the county and even from the farm on which they are built. Furniture and design details have been upcycled with care and repurposed into stunning and unique pieces, down to the last detail. The cabins are nestled within their own private grounds, overlookin

g the valley of Paradise, and the views are heart stopping. They are set away from the main farm and riding school, and are the perfect, peaceful place to stop, relax, unwind and escape from it all. The immediate area offers a plethora of fabulous walking and riding, through some beautiful and ancient terrain. For avid hikers, the Malvern Hills are only 17 miles away, and the Shropshire Hills are around 20 miles from the farm. For foodies, there are several excellent places to eat, including Penson’s which has one Michelin star and is a must. Ludlow is a food mecca outside London, with weekend markets, and delicatessens and restaurants offering fantastic local cheeses, sausages, pies and more. It also hosts a renowned food festival every August which attracts artisan food companies and food critics from all over the country. Our local town, Bromyard, is a traditional market town with timber framed buildings and country pubs, great bakeries, local butchers and deli’s, and quirky local shops to explore. The cathedral city of Worcester is only 12 miles away, offering more choices for shopping, eating and sports events, with a racecourse, and well-known cricket grounds and rugby stadium. The cathedral is something to behold and holds the remains of Bad King John. In the opposite direction, Hereford, is another traditional market city, and the cathedral hosts one of the oldest maps of the world, showing Jerusalem at its centre, the Mapa Mundi. Traditionally, the area is a cider and perry county, and there are many well known breweries which offer tours and tasting, such as Olivers cider, Gwatkins, Weston’s and Bulmers. If you would rather stay on the farm, or, you have had a busy day exploring, our comfortable and cosy cabins have everything you need to relax. Each cabin has its own, fully equipped kitchen, complete with a mini dishwasher to make your stay as stress free as possible. Making meals should be a cinch, with some much fabulous local fare so close at hand, and should you wish to eat out, there are a number of options. The spacious, open plan, kitchen/dining/living area in each cabin has stunning, polished wooden flooring, and soaring ceilings, which are complimented by the vast glazed front wall, with double doors onto a spacious decking area, allowing you to gaze at the uninterrupted views from anywhere in the room. Should you wish to curl up and watch some tellie, comfortable sofas and a Smart T.V. await. Heading into the bedroom, each door has been handmade, with bespoke wooden door latches and handles, which are truly mini works of art in their own right, having been selected for the shape and grain of the wood by our master craftsmen. A unique, upcycled, king sized bed awaits, with bespoke shelves and hanging areas, and a generous, en suite wet room, with individual and luxurious washbasins, rainfall shower and WC. The workmanship, care and attention to detail, which has been applied to each unique cabin, is second to none, and is evident in the rustically beautiful features accenting each room. You stay with us will truly be a unique and peaceful experience, with unforgettable views. Each cabin has a decked, covered terrace, furnished with comfortable seating and an al fresco dining table. For cooler evenings, the fire-pit beckons, and for the true rustic experience, each fire pit doubles as a BBQ allowing you to sample the local cuisine at your leisure.

Boring post!
Following the governments emergency alert, we’ve made a few changes, to cope with the continuing dry weather.

No fire pits to be lit as the countryside is like a tinderbox! All our cabins have well equipped kitchens or you could try one of the great local pubs so you won’t go hungry.

The hot tubs are safe to use as the fire box is enclosed but to be extra safe, we will light it for you - just sit back and relax, your on holiday.

“If you’re thinking about staying at Tedstone Log Cabins, stop thinking and just do it. It was the PERFECT getaway from the hustle and bustle of a busy city life, into a much slower, more peaceful countryside lifestyle.

We had so much fun with such fantastic views, great amenities and a perfect location - we wanted to move in permanently!

We’re already making plans to come back and we’ve recommended it to friends (including a friend who has already booked and stayed before I had chance to post this review!!)

10/10 - could not fault it in the slightest.”

Last we week Roger and I escaped from Tedstone to have a break before the busy summer at Tipton Hall Riding School and in the cabins.

We found this amazing shepherds hut in Somerset called Yonder at Dimpsey - your Somerset Retreat

It had the same comfort and luxury feel that our cabins have and the hosts had taken care of all the important details, just like we do.

Lovely peaceful countryside with great pubs nearby, just like us!

Now back to it, to make our guests dreams come true.

Not all log cabins are created equal. 🪵

Here’s a little secret from the world of “log cabin” holidays: a lot of them aren’t actually log cabins at all. Factory-built, flat-packed, shipped in on a lorry and bolted together on site — same shape, but not the same soul.

Ours are different. Rowan, Chestnut and Willow were handcrafted right here on our Herefordshire farmland, using traditional methods and timber sourced locally — not assembled from a kit, not shipped in from a factory. Every joint, every beam, every detail was built by hand, on this land, from this land.

You can feel the difference the moment you walk in. It’s why the finish is so good, why they feel so solid and warm on a cold night, and why guests keep telling us these cabins are unlike anywhere else they’ve stayed. 🌲

Real log cabins. Local timber. Real craftsmanship.
