Vince is running a marathon in November (complete madness if you ask me) and will be raising money for Thornborough Village Hall which is currently being renovated. The hall is at the centre of our wonderful village and deserves this transformnation. If you feel able to donate something it would be very much appreciated.

We started Ilex Cottage back in February 2020 - what timing for a short term rental business as the world went into lockdown!

It's been great fun meeting so many lovely guests but the time has come to change direction. From April Ilex Cottage will move to long term rather than short term rental.

It's been a busy year for the Julier family - we have been lucky enough to have a Ukranian family living with us and we are about to open 'Thornborough Paws' a 2 acre dog walking filed so lots going on.

'Lovely cottage, exactly as described. Great location for Buckingham, MK, Bicester and surrounding area but rural enough not to be bothered by traffic and noise. We were well looked after and Liz was extremely helpful and prompt to respond.' February 2022

Liz was the perfect host and really has thought of everything! she was kind enough to leave us bread, butter, yummy marmalade, milk and freshly laid eggs from her ducks - such a thoughtful touch. The cottage is in a peaceful and quiet location. Clean and cosy throughout. Check in was super easy with the key safe and Liz was always on hand if we needed anything, great communication. would love to stay again.' January 2022
