We are located in the beautiful Norfolk countryside, on the edge of the Norfolk/Suffolk border, in the tranquile setting of the Waveney Valley on the edge of the Norfolk Boards. Our campsite is a small CS, exclusively for members of The Campi

ng & Caravanning Club, you may join during your stay if not already member. We can accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes plus up to 5 tents, ensuring that our 2 acre site will always provide you with plenty of space. We are open all year round. ​

We are in the perfect location to explore the delights of Norfolk and Suffolk being less than 30 minutes from Norwich, the Broads and the coast. We look forward to you joining us in our very own peaceful haven. If you are looking for a restful and relaxing escape in the countryside look no further. Ideal for couples or solo travellers. Our site is safe and secure. We also allow dogs. The whole site covers approximately two acres. All of our pitches are on a well drained slightly sloping grass site. Our spacious site provides enough room for large awnings or tents. Newly added in 2021!! We have as shower and toilet in addition to our existing Chemical Disposal Point

King's Birthday Flypast Rehearsal 2026

The King's Birthday Flypast Rehearsal will take place on Tuesday 2nd June or Wednesday 3rd June 2026. If for any reason it does not take place on 2nd June then it will take place on the 3rd June 2026.

The rehearsals will start in the vicinity of the North Sea adjacent to East Anglia, then route via the overhead of RAF Marham, Norfolk, RAF Cranwell and RAF Waddington, Lincolnshire, where dispersal will occur.

• Area A - (between 11.00 & 2.00pm BST, SFC to 10,000ft AMSL).
• Area B - (between 12.30 & 1.25pm BST, SFC to 7,000ft AMSL).
• Area C - (between 12.35 & 1.30pm BST, SFC to 3,000ft AMSL).

The actual King's Birthday Flypast over Buckingham Palace will take place on Saturday 13th June 2026.

🌞 That’s a wrap for 2025! 🌞

As we finish our winter preparations, we’ve been looking back on what has been our busiest year yet at The Old Sun. It’s been wonderful welcoming so many new campers, and seeing familiar faces return truly warms our hearts 🥰
We even had to turn people away as we were fully booked — so advance booking for 2026 is recommended!

📅 2026 Season:
Open from Monday 30th March to the end of September.
Bookings are now live on our website, and prices are staying the same as this year 🙌
We will have a few short breaks where we’ll be closed to rest (us and the pitches!) — all availability is online.

If you have a favourite pitch, just mention it when booking and we’ll do our best to accommodate. And feel free to share our little site… but not too far or you might lose your spot 😉
