(262)

Enjoy wild camping, glamping cabins, campfires, and nature-filled relaxation. Perfect for tents, campervans, and 4x4s! Wardley Hill Campsite is an ecological campsite in the Waveney Valley. Wild flowers and grass are left to grow to encourage butterflies and bees, although there is still plenty of space to throw a frisbee or perhaps have a game of rounders. Our six-acre site has some woodland, a s

tream and secret areas cut into the long grass. Our car free camping field is exclusively for tents while campervans are also welcome to stay with us in a separate area. Our facilities on site offer an authentic back-to-basics camping experience with clean composting toilets for guests to use and a hot shower. Campfires are encouraged in our fire drums and dogs on leads are welcome. You can choose your own space to pitch your tent or rent one of our 'too posh to pitch' options.

A few clips from the early May bank holiday.. every day there are new shoots appearing and the trees are really starting to shine. Another few weeks and we’ll be looking splendid.

Couldn’t have put it better myself.

If your idea of luxury is birdsong at dawn, dragonflies skimming ponds and evenings spent around a crackling campfire, Wardley Hill Campsite is your kind of escape. Established in 2014, this award winning, family run eco retreat lies in the heart of the Waveney Valley, perfectly placed between the Norfolk Broads and the Suffolk coast.

Spanning twelve acres of meadow and woodland, the site is a celebration of nature. Expect untrimmed grasses dotted with wildflowers, gentle streams, seasonal ponds and plenty of space to pitch up in peaceful seclusion. The six acre car free camping field is reserved for tents, while campervans and rooftop tents have their own dedicated area. There is even a private field for 4x4 expedition vehicles, complete with its own shower.

For those seeking a touch of rustic comfort, the handcrafted Tiny House and Tinker’s Hut offer a charming glamping experience that blends simplicity with warmth and character.

Wardley Hill is proudly off grid, with clean composting toilets, open topped hot showers and drinking water points across the site. There are no electric hook ups, no numbered pitches and no distractions, just open skies and the simple pleasure of slowing down. Campfires are encouraged in provided fire drums, dogs on leads are welcome, and the recreation field is perfect for kite flying, cricket or simply stretching out in the grass.

Whether you arrive with a tent, campervan or sense of adventure, Wardley Hill Campsite offers a beautifully simple way to immerse yourself in the South Norfolk countryside.

Camping season will soon be with us, we even have our first daffodils on site. As ever the long list of winter tasks never seems to reduce and yes the boat is still there! The Tiny House reopens on the 12th February and the main site on the 3rd April. We are hoping to make some progress on our house...
